Top photographer Scarlet Page is busy snapping a selection of star pets and their celebrity owners for the 2009 PDSA Pet Pawtraits calendar.
Why not register your interest in the 2009 PDSA Pet Pawtraits calendar, so you will be among the first to know when it is released?
The calendar highlights the special relationship between celebrities and their pets and is one of the charity’s major fundraising initiatives.
PDSA is funded entirely from public support and sales from the calendar will go directly to PDSA to help fund free veterinary care for sick and injured pets whose owners are unable to afford veterinary fees.
Scarlet, daughter of Led Zepellin’s Jimmy Page, has photographed some of the biggest stars in the world, from Robbie Williams to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. She has been official photographer for The Darkness and, in 2006, held an exhibition featuring portraits of celebrities with their children and included Pearl and Daisy Lowe, Sadie Frost and K T Tunstall.
Commenting on this year’s calendar, Scarlet said: “I have two fantastic moggies – a black cat called Tommy who is 17 and a nine-year-old ginger called Archie – so pets have always been a huge part of my life. I simply cannot imagine life without them. That’s why I took on this project and I am really happy to be part of such a worthwhile and inspiring campaign.”
PDSA’s 2009 Pet Pawtraits calendar boasts a glittering line-up of celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing queen Alesha Dixon; former Blur musician and writer Alex James; award-winning soap actress Kym Ryder; comedian Johnny Vegas; and rising West End star Summer Strallen.
The 2009 Pet Pawtraits calendar will be available for purchase online, or from PDSA’s 179 charity shops in late August.
